There is no built-in voice chat. Players usually use Steam friends or third-party voice apps. In-game, Hiders can taunt with a whistle to bait Hunters.
Are workshop maps safe?+
Most are safe, but be careful — one July 2026 workshop scare involved a suspicious map. Only subscribe to well-reviewed maps and keep the game updated.

The game is a casual multiplayer party game without blood or gore. It is suited to most ages, though online play means interacting with strangers.

No official mobile or VR versions exist. In July 2026 an unofficial 'Meccha Chameleon VR' appeared on the Meta Quest store; the developer confirmed it is not licensed and warned players not to buy it.
