All Meccha Chameleon Maps
Every base map in Meccha Chameleon with tactical notes, plus how Steam Workshop maps work and the best community maps to try.
Meccha Chameleon's maps are the stage for every round of hide-and-seek. Here are the base maps and how the Workshop extends the game.
Base Maps
Meccha Chameleon launched with 4 maps and now ships 7 official ones. The notes below combine the official map list with hiding-spot coverage from InGameNews and GameShedge.
| Map | Theme | Tactical note |
|---|---|---|
| Hide-and-Seek Mansion | Signature indoor map | The community gold standard — dense rooms, kitchen appliances, laundry and bathroom fixtures give endless mimic options; large enough to switch hiding spots mid-round |
| Indoor Country | Cozy indoor barn | Hay bales, pumpkins, horse statues and cow cutouts; flexible borders let you tuck into tight corners |
| Sewer | Dark underground tunnels | Often called the most balanced map — graffiti walls give unique camouflage; canisters, lockers and sandbags for cover |
| Backrooms | Backrooms homage — off-yellow walls and office spaces (reworked in update 2.1.0) | Small and sparse, so hunters search fast; hide in office cubicles, trash piles and the damaged highway section |
| Penguin Hotel | Hotel from the developer's earlier Penguin Hotel series | One of the largest maps with multiple floors; penguin statues and plush toys everywhere, balloons add awkward geometry |
| Sugarland | Bright candy theme | Candy houses, gumdrops and gingerbread buildings; elevated spots hunters often forget, but slanted angles make poses tricky |
| Osaka | Japan theme, added after 7 million copies sold | The smallest official map yet dense — trucks, shops, elevated signs and alleyways reward quick paint-and-hide |
